Alright, today I'll be touching on driving traffic 

to list building with a few F.R.E.E and effective 
means to drive red hot targeted traffic into
your squeeze page.

I'll be spending a little more time expanding
on this as I believe (ahem!) I'm an authority
on article marketing.

You see, Google loves content and content-wise
there is no other better then articles. 

So if Google shows some love to your article,
it will start to drive traffic to your article.

There are 3 article directories worthy of 
mentioning here and they are

1. EzineArticles - http://www.ezinearticles.com

2. Goarticles.com - http://www.goarticles.com
3. Articlebase.com - http://www.articlebase.com

Of course, there are thousands of other 
directories but these 3 are the ones that
I've been consistently submitting my articles
to. 

Here's the gameplan:

Step 1: Write 6 different articles on your
niche that you want to build a list on and
limit it to 350 words each.

If you're running out of ideas then simply
pop my one of the directories to see how
its written and to find inspiration.

Step 2: Submit 1 article to ezinearticle
1 article to goarticles and 1 to searchwarp.

Step 4. Submit your other 3 articles to the
different articles again after your first 3
gets approved.

Step 5: Track the incoming links and traffic
coming from the articles to your squeeze pages.

Step 6: Rinse, refine, repeat :)

I should've sent this sooner but there are 
some tools that you MUST HAVE before you can
even start collecting an opt-in list:

#1 ::Autoresponder:: You'll need it to collect,
manage and contact your list. If you don't 
have an autoresponder, you can forget about 
building a list! There's only 2 autoresponders
I use and recommend:

GetResponse: http://www.getresponse.com

#2 ::Webhost:: Sure you could use free host and
free blogs to set up your squeeze pages but these
are usually ad-cluttered and highly unprofessional!

I've used Godaddy for 3 years now and they have
handled all my major product launches plus their
support is top-notch.

#3 ::Training:: You need to understand your list's
thinking and their 'frame of mind'. You need to 
be able to speak to them, to warm them up and
to build a relationship with them.

You should seek to improve your email marketing
skills. Even for me, I invest thousands of dollars 
in ebooks and course to sharpen my skills and to 
keep up with the industry.

#4 ::Content:: First you need content to give away 
to 'lure' them to sign up to your list. Then you 
need to follow up with CONTENT and warm them up
to you. I recommend you write your own or source
for PLR articles to 'drip' your list with a constant
stream of content.

Basic Part 2 - Free Giveaway For List Building

Remember the previous blog about the importance of building a list and the assignment I gave you?

Ways To Get Free E-Report To Giveaway

1. Write your own report! It's really easy to do this. Just fire up your word processor, create a content page, an intro page, a body and a conclusion; convert it
to PDF format and...EUREKA.

Ok, it's actually not that simple. You need to do a fair amount of research but the
trick is that you don't need to write A LOT.

Even a short 3 to 5 paged report will suffice if you're providing good enough content inside.

You can go to places like Wikipedia and Ezinearticles.com to research for more
materials on writing your own report.

2. Hire a ghost-writer! Might not be the cheapest solution but it SURE IS the
fastest and laziest way to getting it done.

And considering you only require a short report to giveaway (5-20 pages long) it
won't be that expensive to get it done after all. Look in places like elance.com and/or rentacoder.com

3. Join an internet marketing giveaway! I'm a contributor for many of these giveaways and I can ALWAYS pick up few books that have resell rights or private label rights! Easy and they are free...

Don't worry about not knowing where and when one happens, I'll let you know when any good one comes up :)

Once you have done, I'll talk about creating 'squeeze pages' to collect email addresses and names - essentially building you an opt-in list.

Your Gift/Squeeze Page

These are pages where you offer a gift to sign up on your newsletter or mailing list. You will provide some sort of free item.

The key is that they have to sign up for your newsletter in order to receive the free gift.

Now, some of these people will only use you for your free gift(or content) and then unsubscribe, but if your gift is really good then they are more than likely going to stay on your list.

An example of a squeeze page would be my blog. At the top right hand corner, you can see there's an offer for FREE ebook by subscribing to my newsletter.

Notice that I not only give away a free report, I'll give free continual marketing
tips - goes to show how flexible you can be in creating content to giveaway :)

Basic Part 1 - Build A List

You know, when I was undergoing military training they had a motto there called "Excel Through Basics" and although it sounds very simple - it actually rings very true.

And today, I want talk about list building as one of the 'basics'.

Why List-building?

Let's have a look at the ENDS of list building first. With a list you could:

1. Easily promote products for quick affiliate cash...

2. Leverage on your list to build JV relationships...

3. Easily come out with NEW product ideas from your list...

4. Train and mentor your list...

And that's just a few of the many many benefits of list-building!

As an affiliate marketer, if you don't have a list you're probably promoting your products through Adwords, articles & stuff like that...

...those can be profitable BUT these things leave you without control!

You can't control when Google's gonna slap you, you can't control how high your article rank on Google...but if you have a list - You are in total control.

And with a list, you'll NEVER run out of a pool of hungry, targeted prospects.

Never ever ever send only offers after offers after you've built your list. You're destroying your list by doing so!

Ok, a few steps for you to start off building your site :

1. Create/get/buy/ a report on internet marketing. Make SURE you've the rights to
give it away if you got it for free or bought it.

2. Set up simple 'squeeze' page on your website that will allow the person to download the ebook after they have opted-in.

3. Make an offer after they have signed up.

4. Milk for more profits in the backend.

For now your *assignment* would be to get some ebooks, e-reports to giveaway. Simple enough?

My iPod forced me to improve myself!

I believed most of the people had Apple iPod Video nowadays. To me, it was one of the most amazing gadgets I ever had. I bought an 8G Ipod Video around 2 years back when it first launched, and until today, I was carrying it wherever I went.

What I liked was not the design, nor the brand. To me, it only worth the price because of - iTunes! Yes, iTunes! There were tons of MP3/ MP4 players in the market, but Apple made it so successful because it can sync iTunes and inside iTunes, there are tons of Podcast!

Do you believe if I tell you I don't have a single MP3 song inside my iPod, and yes! It's true. I only sync my iPod for podcast daily. They are much better than listening to music, for 1 reason - they are free and you can benefit from them!

First of all, I listened to lots of news. Not only from Singapore, but also US. This is to keep me inform of what's happening in the world. It'll help me in my trading: companies performance, upcoming elections, oil prices, etc ...

These are some of my favourite podcast. As mentioned earlier, I only have an 8G iPod. So when I sync, it'll used up the space if I did not del the old ones. In this way, I'll force myself to keep listening and watching the podcast whenever I can. After a while, it becomes a norm. I don't waste time idling anymore.

Shopping At Adidas

I went shopping at Prime Outlet in Orlando last week and came across an Adidas Shop having sale. I found a jersey (LA Galaxy) which cost only $19 (50% off), with David Beckham's name and number (23) printed behind. I was so excited and of course, bought it.

When I was paying, the cashier asked me for my email address. Well, I just gave her so that I could continue with my shopping.

1 week later, I received email from Adidas telling me there was a special sale for me - 15% off any items! It was a very good deal since I was looking for some sports bags. I went back that week and bought another bag.

When I left, I thought it was a very good marketing technique. Adidas gave me discount at first to "buy" my email address, then use Email Marketing to pull me back to purchase even more! Not only that, I'll receive their emails forever unless I unsubscribe, and they will be able to earn our money forever!

For me, I don't mind subscribe to mailing list since there's nothing to lose. I'm sure there's lots of other people eager to be in their database to get more discount and benefits!
